Frankie’s Babysitters Club – is an Animated Television Series of one-half hour or one-hour episodes and is based on the bestselling Short story written by Tom Richards and published by Poolbeg Press (Dublin).
The Arc of the First Series: Frankie has been born with a horrible birth defect. Even has an infant, he poor fellow had green skin and looked exactly like a Very Young Frankenstein. The first episode sees Frankie now in a Chicago High School where, due to the strange rather evil way he looks, is bullied by a large Group of Teenaged Girls. Maggie, Frankie’s only friend, defends him. Frankie’s anger causes him to use a Chain Saw (he has been hired as a Gardener and Tree Surgeon in a local Park due to his size and massive strength). Scaring a small group of teenage girls when he starts the Chain Saw, they are convinced he is trying to kill them all! But Frankie is a gentle sort of guy – a Green Giant. He makes the decision to protect everyone he knows (and learns to love) including Maggie and his mother (his father died of a heart attack soon after Frankie was born due to the stress he was under from the Parents of the local neighbourhood who couldn’t understand why they didn’t place the Young Frankie up for adoption).
This ‘coming of age story’ sees Frankie experiencing his first kiss with Maggie (which goes horribly wrong because Frankie is so embarrassed); a Halloween Episode where Frankies Babysitters Club (who are formed of young women including Maggie who are now frightened of the Teenage Girls who have formed the Witches Association) discovers that many of the Teenage Witches and Bullies really are Witches and Warlocks, and disappear in a ‘puff of smoke’ when the Teenage Frankenstein uses their own Witches Brew on them; the battle between the Teenage Girls and Bullies escalates. This new Witches Babysitters Club recruits the Devil in Disguise (Lucky Lucy, the Antagonist from Hotfoot! – see below) to attack Washington D.C. and take the New Liberal and very fair President hostage. But Frankie and his Babysitters Team successfully recapture the President, everyone in the White House and all the Members of Congress. Frankie wins a special Medal of Honour. Now famous, the first season ends when Frankie defends the Entire Planet Earth from an attack by Lucky Lucy and his Evil, Desperate Underworld Army. Frankie and his entire Team are awarded Medals from many of the world’s countries. But – Lucky Lucy and some of his Evil Underworld Army escapes from jail on Alcatraz Island. Vowing revenge against Frankie and the entire Democratic World, Frankie is asked by the President of the United States to form a new Military Branch, formally named: Frankie’s Babysitter World Defence Club.
Join Frankie and his Halloween Team as they fight against injustice all over the world! When this lovely ‘Frankenstein’ is embarrassed by the girls attending his own Junior High School (who call him an Ugly Idiot), Frankie gets really angry. But his great friend, a girl named Mary, tells Frankie to ‘forget them!’ When she joins his brand new Babysitters Club – a Club that has been formed to compete with local Junior High babysitters that the girls who embarrassed him have formed – Frankie and all of his neighbourhood friends take ‘nice’ revenge by asking all the Flying Witches on All Hallow’s Night to turn the girls into Pumpkins! This gives all the parents of the children the girls are babysitting a great fright. They fire all the teenage girl babysitters and hire Frankie and his Babysitter Club instead. A rollicking great comedy soon to be transformed by Magic into a new Television Series from Storylines Entertainment.
Episode 1
Frankie is horribly teased by the Bullies at his School as well as a Group of Teenage Girls. Maggie, his only friend, tries to defend him as does him mother Grace. But when Frankie loses his cool and starts a Chain Saw in a local Park, he frightens to death some of the Teenage Girls as well as many male Teenage Bullies who are now convinced he is a threat to their school and neighbourhood.
Episode 2
Frankie sets up his own Babysitters Club. Maggie as well as many Teenage Girls and Boys become part of it. On Halloween Night, they all dress up in Frankie Costumes. They get even with the Parents who have rejected Frankie’s offer of working as a Babysitter by scaring them half to death. Some Parents die of Heart attacks (The Very Evil Ones) and are buried in Frankie’s basement. The basement is now full so Frankie swears he’ll never hurt anyone else. (INCIPIENT INCIDENT OF SERIES. Frankie defends Maggie against a Bully dressed as a Wicked Witch. Frankie is given more Powers by his father in Heaven. Casting a spell on the Witch to put her to sleep forever, Frankie accidentally casts that spell on Maggie. He kisses her – their first kiss – and Maggie wakes up. The costumed Witch turns out to be a real Witch. He wakes her up with a Kiss too, and discovers that all of the Witches, Ghouls, Vampires and Werewolves are determined to take over the world.
Episode 3
Frankie’s Babysitters Club is now a threat to the Witches Association. They attack Frankie’s Club determined to kill them all. Frankie recruits Bullies and Teens from other Clubs. He also wakes up everyone buried in his basement and they are all so grateful to have new lives they agree to help. This first mission is simple: to defeat the attack by the Witches Association on Frankie’s house, Frankie’s Club must steal a Poison that the Witches have brewed. When they do and pour it on the Witches Club, many disappear in a puff of Black Smoke.
Episode 4
The Battle Escalates as Maggie finds out that a surviving Witch and Vampire plan an attack on the White House. The Evil objective is to kidnap the President. The Battle in Washington D.C. is short – when Frankie’s Club attacks the Witch Association, the Marines and DC Cops show up and arrest both sides of the Battle. Frankie saves the President from certain Death by carving up a Witch into pieces with a large knife. The President congratulate Frankie and promises him a Public Award in the Rose Garden. But when the Vice President sees how Ugly and Frightening Frankie is, they call off the Ceremony. The President awards Frankie a Paper Mache Medal of Honor in the Oval Office. Frankie is thrilled but when he goes out into the rain the Medal melts. His Mom tells him don’t trust all Politicians. The President finds out what happened and Mails a Real Replacement which Maggie pins on his Chest.
Episode 5
Frankie and the Gang go to Ireland. As a reward for defeating many of the Witches in Washington, Frankie and his Club are lent Air Force One. The fly to Ireland and meet so many people of their age. One group is called Larkin’s Lot – a football (soccer) Team. Gerry and Fran, the co-Managers and players for the Team, invite Frankie’s Club to play with them to defeat a Secondary School Irish Team. They need Frankie’s Club help because the manager of the opposing Team is Lucky Lucy, who is actually Satan in disguise. The opposing Team’s players all have GREAT football powers because they have sold their souls to the Devil. Larkin’s Lot almost loses but when Frankie, Maggie and the rest of their team capture Lucky Lucy and demand that he give back the opposing players’ souls, he agrees. He is taken back to his Black Lair by the Head Witch of the Witches Association. As they disappear down a Black Hole, Frankie discovers a Plan written by Lucky which states that he will help the Witches with all of his Dark Powers to take over the Earth!
Episode 6
Frankie’s Babysitters Club Gain Super-Human Powers – back home, Frankie, Maggie and their Mother’s read Lucky’s Plan again. They realize that Lucky and his Evil Company are going to storm the local City Hall to capture the Mayor. They also find that any person bitten by a Vampire will become just that! If everyone is bitten, the Evil Virus will spread across the World! Frankie and his Club gain Superhuman powers to control water, air, fire, and the Earth. Flying, swimming and burrowing under the Earth, Frankie’s Super Power Club surrounds the City Hall to protect it. When Lucky and his Evil company show up, some are bitten, including Grace, and are turned into Vampires. Attacking the City Hall with Fire and Brimstone, a local Pastor says a prayer. God the Father looks down from Heaven. He orders that Lucky’s Evil Company back to the Fiery Lair beneath the Ground. Lucky objects escapes with the Help of the Head Witch. As a reward for his actions, Frankie’s father is sent back to Earth to help Frankie win the Battle for the World. Grace is kissed by her husband and her fangs disappear.
Episode 7
The Final Battle to Win the World Back – Across the world, capitols of the Largest Cities on Earth are surrounded by Lucky. This time he comes back as the General of the Underworld Army. Also having Super Powers, Lucky and his Army captures many countries. It is now up to Frankie’s Corp of New Cadets to Save the World. The cadets include Larkin’s Lot and many other Cadet Teams from around the World. After a Final Assault on Washington D.C., Lucky captures the President and demands a pile of Cash or the President and her Cabinet will all lose their souls as well as many in Both Houses of Congress. Frankie and the Cadets work with the Marines, Army and Air Force. Using their Superpowers to fly with fighter jets, they shoot down the Witches who have taken control of the skies. They storm the Capital Building where Lucky’s captives including the President are imprisoned. When Lucky’s Army is finally defeated, the President orders Lucky to be sent to Life in a deep hole dug in Frankie’s basement. Frankie will be paid to Guard Lucky and any other Evil Captive sentenced to Life. This time, Frankie does receive a Medal of Honor because he has been promoted to a Colonel in the Army. The Ceremony takes place on National TV. Frankie buys Maggie a really nice golden ring as a sign of his love for her. While they’re much too young, he promises Maggie that when they both get older, he’ll ask her to marry her.
